Swim Wales – The First Welsh NGB To Complete The Safeguarding Adults in Sport Framework

Congratulations to Swim Wales for being the first Welsh NGB to complete our Safeguarding Adults in Sport Framework.

Zita Cameron, Head of Governance at Swim Wales, led the way showing commitment to submitting a strong portfolio of evidence.

It is so good to see Welsh NGBs considering their safeguarding adults responsibilities alongside their safeguarding children responsibilities. While everyone may be at different stages in their safeguarding adults journey, it is great to have our first Welsh completion to celebrate!

It is a pleasure to work with Zita, who is clearly passionate about safeguarding in Swim Wales. She is committed to making aquatics one of the safest sports in Wales. She has worked hard to collaborate with The Ann Craft Trust throughout the Framework process.

Completing the Safeguarding Framework has been invaluable. It has provided us with the opportunity to understand our current provisions for safeguarding adults in Welsh Aquatics while also identifying room for improvement. Thank you Jodi for your encouragement throughout our submission!
