On Tuesday 2 July 2019 we held the fourth annual Safeguarding Adults in Sport and Activity Seminar.
Some 50 delegates came from across the UK to hear all about the very latest in safeguarding adults in sport and activity. As well as updates from ACT and Sport England, topics covered included DBS checks, the adult participation group, and far right radicalisation in sport.
After an invigorating day, the ACT safeguarding adults team came together to reflect on a very successful seminar. We also took this opportunity to welcome Laura Thorpe, our brand new Safeguarding Adults in Sport and Activity Manager!
- Nicola Dean (Host) – Safeguarding Adults in Sport and Activity Manager
- Ieuan Watkins – Safeguarding Adults in Sport and Activity Manager, Wales
- Lisa Curtis – Safeguarding Adults Manager
- Laura Thorpe – Safeguarding Adults in Sport and Activity Manager
Listen below. And as Nicola says at the end, keep your eyes (and ears) open for news of next year’s seminar!
