Maisie and Olivia joined us on a marketing placement in 2018.
They are both University of Nottingham students. Maisie joined us from the School of Sociology and Social Policy. Olivia joined us from the School of Geography.
We tasked them with helping us promote the first ever National Safeguarding Adults Week.
They took on a lot of marketing tasks during their placement. They researched and wrote blog posts, created content for social media, and communicated with other charities to get them involved in the week.
“A Sense of Pride”
Olivia said: “It was really nice seeing all the work we put in come together. The Ann Craft Trust as a group are really nice people.”
“We both felt a sense of pride knowing that we’d contributed to the success of the week,” said Maisie. “Everyone was really friendly and welcoming every time we came into the office.”
And the week was indeed a success.
According to data from Tweet Binder, the first ever National Safeguarding Week reached at least 1,943,306 people on Twitter alone.
That’s due in no small part to the hard work of Maisie and Olivia. Thanks, guys, for helping to make the week what it was!
Tips For Your Placement
In the video below, Maisie and Olivia offer some advice to any students who want to do a placement at the Ann Craft Trust.
“My advice to you,” said Maisie, “would be to always ask for help if you need it. Everyone there is really friendly, and they’ll help you with anything.”
Olivia offered this advice: “Don’t be afraid to throw yourself into the tasks. Try new things and you’ll probably really enjoy yourself.”
We’re sure you’ll agree, that’s good advice for life!
