Introducing Aastha Sinha, Our Safeguarding Adults Week Student Intern!

Aastha Sinha

My name is Aastha Sinha, and I’m thrilled to share a bit about my journey as the new intern at the Ann Craft Trust.

I started my placement in early October, and it’s been an incredibly welcoming experience thanks to the fantastic team here.

I’m currently in my first year at the University of Nottingham, where I’m studying Law. Growing up, I developed a strong interest in social issues. This led me to become actively involved in various initiatives, including participating in moot courts and advocacy programs.

My internship was at the High Court in India. I dealt with matters of domestic abuse. This sparked my interest in how we can better safeguard victims from physical, mental, and financial abuse.

In my role at the Ann Craft Trust, I’m helping the marketing team promote Safeguarding Adults Week. I appreciate the flexible nature of this internship, which has allowed me to enhance my skills in editing and Canva.

I’ve always found compliance intriguing. This experience is giving me a fresh perspective on how organisations can safeguard themselves by staying informed and engaged with training.

I’m really looking forward to being a part of the marketing team. I am also looking forward to contributing to the important work of safeguarding adults at risk, and tackling these significant social issues.
