Coming soon from the Ann Craft Trust: Safeguarding Adults E-Learning Courses!

Where is it?

When is it?

From Monday, 16th November, 2020
until Sunday, 22nd November, 2020

As part of Safeguarding Adults Week this November, we are delighted to be able to launch a new package of e-learning!

Training is a fundamental part of our organisation and being able to share our safeguarding knowledge in person has been interrupted this year. These e-learning courses will allow both individuals and organisations to continue to develop their safeguarding awareness and knowledge.

What courses will be available?

Initially, there will be two e-learning courses available. ‘An Introduction to Safeguarding Adults’ and ‘Setting Safeguarding Standards in your Club’.

An Introduction to Safeguarding Adults

  • This course is ideal for people who are new to safeguarding adults and is applicable to individuals or professionals working in any sector.
  • This course covers information about what abuse is, how to recognise it, and what you should do to report it.
  • The content includes legislative information in England, and it also offers further links to information pertaining to legislation and governance for all four nations.
  • On completion of the course, you should have the confidence to know what to do if you have a safeguarding concern.

Setting Safeguarding Standards in your Club

  • This course is aimed at welfare officers, safeguarding leads or participants with safeguarding responsibilities in sport and leisure clubs.
  • The course will cover key safeguarding legislation and will consider the information and resources that every club should have in relation to safeguarding adults.
  • The content includes legislative information in England, and it also offers further links to information pertaining to legislation and governance for all four nations.
  • On completion of the course, you should feel confident about establishing safeguarding adults’ policies and procedures in your own club.

What happens when I complete the course?

Once you have completed the course you will receive a certificate of completion.

You will have further support and access to our resources online via our website and should you require further training with us at more in-depth level, our team can tailor courses for your club or organisation.

How long does it take to complete?

Both courses are designed to be accessed online and in your own time. We recommend that you take time to digest the learnings and content, as well go back over the information should you wish to.

There are brief quizzes to test your knowledge throughout so that you can assess your own learning.

The price of the course

  • An introduction to safeguarding adults at risk (Module 1 and 2)        £25
  • Setting Safeguarding Standards in your Club (Module 3)                    £10

The more people who are aware of their safeguarding responsibilities the safer we can make our community and environment.

These courses are just the start of our e-learning training provision and we hope to add additional courses over time to help people to learn and understand more about safeguarding.

Please get in touch if you have a particular subject you would like us to cover.

How to access the course?

The course will be available through our website in November. The portal will be live during Safeguarding Adults Week. If you would like to be reminded and given first access to the course, please sign up below and we will share the link when it is ready.

Your information will not be shared with any third parties and will only be used to update you about e-learning opportunities from the Ann Craft Trust.
