What we offer

The Ann Craft Trust uses the latest research, guidance and case studies to create up-to-date and informative training that will develop your teams skills and confidence. You can choose from a range of safeguarding disabled children and adults at risk courses to create one of sessions or development packages.

We offer both standard safeguarding programmes and bespoke courses incorporating your organisation's policies and procedures. Each course is designed to meet a variety of learning styles combining large and small group work alongside individual learning.

Open Training Courses

Each year we host a number of open training courses based at the University of Nottingham.

Each one day course uses the latest research, legislation and teaching methods. ACT’s Open Training has been specifically created to support professionals involved in all levels of safeguarding.

How we work

Over the last 21 years ACT has built a national reputation for training excellence by working closely with organisations to design, deliver and evaluate sessions. This ensures that training is relevant to delegate roles and keeps our training at the forefront of safeguarding. Our courses involve a range of methods including direct input, facilitated group work and digital media that can be tailored towards a variety of learning styles and needs.

Our Training Team

We draw on a team of expert trainers from a range of professional backgrounds with the experience to make the course directly relevant to your needs. The team currently includes trainers with expertise in social work and social care, leading enquiries, policing and interviewing, sexual health and education, nursing, clinical psychology, counselling and therapy, mental health, policy, procedures and senior level management.
