Lisa Curtis, Safeguarding Adults at Risk Manager


Lisa CurtisLisa trained as a nurse for people with learning disabilities in Lincolnshire in 1985 and has had a long career in both nursing roles and within social care.

For the last 15 years Lisa has worked for a Provider in both operational roles and senior management roles. Lisa has managed a team of trainers and delivered training on a national level and worked as part of a team responsible for the quality and compliance of the organisation.

Lisa has worked on varied projects including the re-provision and development of services for people with a learning disability including hospital and campus re-provision and most recently supporting families post Winterbourne to co-ordinate the move of their son / daughter from ATU’s or Specialist Hospitals to be closer to their parents and in their local community.

Lisa continues to be part of a circle for two families who have sons who are vulnerable and is committed to ensure the families’ voice and their relatives’ voice is heard.

Working alongside other National organisations Lisa has influenced safeguarding and the delivery of quality services to vulnerable people by being at the forefront of promoting new initiatives and ideas.
